Brand new premises for IH Xi’an!
Brand new premises for IH Xi’an!

International House Xi’an has just moved to better and more modern premises in the heart of Xi’an’s high-tech development zone, CBD!  
 
The premises are roughly 1000 m² in size and home to 12 modern and fully equipped classrooms, an activity room, a computer room with internet access, a library, a canteen, a garden downstairs and with broadband wireless connection throughout the school. Located in Xi’an’s biggest and most important business district, the new premises are very well-connected with buses leaving every 5 minutes to almost anywhere in the city. The new premises are just the first step to a future which will see new programmes such as the unique ‘Studying Chinese along the Silk Road’ and even more language learning options for a constantly growing number of students, both Chinese and foreigners alike!

IH Newcastle has moved into bigger and very prestigious new premises just around the corner from the old school which means it is still within walking distance of Charlotte House, IH Newcastle’s 108-bedroom student accommodation.

 

With 17 classrooms and a very large PSP suite (Personal Study Programme) on the top floor the new premises are three times as big as the old school. This will enable IH Newcastle to develop and grow by accepting more groups, running more teacher training courses and giving both clients and staff the space they deserve!

 

The main reason for the move was because the school had outgrown the old premises as they were designed for a much lower number of students. Being a listed building the new premises also have a unique charm which is an added attraction for both agents and clients alike.

IH Dubai is once again proud to be sponsoring TESOL Arabia, 11 – 13 March, Dubai. This year’s conference is “Transformations in TESOL”. As change is one of the few constants in TESOL  this conference invites participants to explore the ways in which educators respond to the dynamic nature of English language teaching and learning.

IH Dubai is especially pleased to bring Jeremy Harmer to the 16th annual event! (As if he wasn’t worked hard enough at the DoS conference!) We can’t wait to see him and others in the fantastic line-up (including David Nunan, Hugh Dellar, Gavin Dudeney and Mike McCarthy to name but a few) and we’re sure it will be an interesting, fun and thought-provoking three days.
