IH Porto celebrated the 50th Anniversary of IH in good spirit and style.

We held a party at the newish Foz branch from 5.30pm to 8.30pm, which was attended by a surprising number of students from Leça and Foz. All the IH teachers were able to be there because we suspended lessons at the Leça site.

Main hits on the day were a) the graffiti wall (a great success with lots of bright colours for child like finger painting) b) the rogues gallery of teachers with biographical details c) the videos of students introducing themselves in class time d) the fantastic spread of food with wines and beers from many English speaking countries e) the presentation of PET, FCE diplomas f) the seek and find information tasks for all the children (examples: Where was Les born? Does he wear a shoe size 40, 42 or 44?etc...... I was surrounded all night!) g) the raffle (free term, free month, free courses of Italian, German, French and Spanish and h) the games for the very young children. Basically, it was lots of fun. Afterwards we went out for dinner.
