Description
The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) measures the ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – and is intended for people who intend to work in an English-speaking environment.
TOEIC is developed by ETS, an American testing service. The test is available on demand. Consult your local test centre for more details.
The TOEIC exams divide into two tests. The first tests the skills of Reading and Listening (120mins). While the second tests Writing and Speaking.
TOEIC is designed for candidates who are at the B1 to C2 levels of the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, equivalent to IHWO levels 4 to 8.
Over 4.5 million people in more than 110 countries take TOEIC exams each year. For more information about TOEIC go to the ETS website at http://www.ets.org/toeic/.
