The school

International House Sydney opened in April 1988 under the name Waratah Education Centre and affiliated with International House in 1996.

Located on the world-famous surfing beach, Manly, the school is only 15 minutes by jetcat and 25 minutes by express bus from the Sydney Central Business District (CBD). The campus is located in a modern building and is on three levels, with 21 classrooms, 3 common rooms, a language laboratory, 25 computers all with free internet access and a 360 degree terrace overlooking the Sydney Harbour and Manly Beach.

The school is a 5 minute walk from Manly Wharf, 5 minutes walk to Manly Beach, and is located just off the café, restaurant and pub district of the Manly Corso. Most host families are a 15 minute walk or bus ride to the college. The minimum age of study is 12 and the average age of our students is 19-22.
