The school

IH Sydney - TTPC opened in 2002 to expand the work that it commenced in 1997 in training teachers of English. Since January 2002, it has been training more than 250 new teachers each year.

Located in the centre of Sydney within walking distance of the Town Hall and the Sydney Opera House, the centre specialises in the delivery of CELTA, DELTA and other certificates in teacher training for existing and prospective English teachers whose first language is not English.

Our Certificate IV in TESOL and the IH Sydney Certificate in TESOL attract practising and prospective English teachers from countries where English is not the native language and who want to experience life in an English speaking country while they improve both their English skills and their teaching skills. The average age of our students is 22+ due to the maturity required to undertake the course.
