The City

Toronto is a vibrant city filled with excitement and wonder; a place where you can experience true multiculturalism and meet new friends from all corners of the world while learning English. As Canada's largest city and one of the world's most cosmopolitan centre, Toronto has been voted, time and again, as one of the best cities in which to live.
With an NHL, NBA and a Major League Baseball team, world renowned restaurants and some of North America's most famous landmarks (an hour away from the famous Niagara Falls), there is something for everyone in Toronto.

THE SCHOOL

International House Toronto is located in the historic Blake Mansion, a government designated heritage building in downtown Toronto. Only a few minutes walk from Yonge and Bloor, the school is close to many trendy shops, cafes, restaurants, cultural centres and attractions.

The Classes

The minimum study period is 1 week and the maximum number of students per class is 9 (7 in winter). The minimum age for studying is 16 during winter and 9 during the summer. When you choose to study at IH Toronto, you are choosing one of the best, and most flexible curriculum systems offered in any school. Each day is divided into five equal periods of 75 minutes each. You have the choice of studying General English, Business English, Academic Test Preparation, as well as a diverse list of elective classes.

Accommodation

Homestay
All our homestays are organized in-house and personally visited and continuously monitored by our Accommodation Coordinator. Our goal is to make sure that you have a memorable experience living and studying in Toronto.
IH Toronto International Student House
In order to offer our students more choice of affordable accommodations, we have created the IH Toronto Student House. This is a large house consisting of 8 bedrooms, a large common kitchen and common bathrooms and showers. Dormitory Options Available at IH Toronto
For students who are looking for more privacy and shorter-term stays, we offer private and university dormitories throughout the year.

Transfers

If a student requests airport pick-up reception, we will have an IH Toronto staff member meet the student at the airport and drive the student to their place of residence.
