The City

San Diego (population 2 million) is situated in the South of California, about 150 km from Los Angeles and a short distance from the border with Mexico. San Diego is the welcoming port at the entrance of San Diego bay and is the base of one of the most important naval industries in the USA. It has a mild year-round climate, which oscillates between 16 and 32 degrees Celsius.

The School

International House San Diego is located in the historical Old town of the city. The school has 8 well-equipped classrooms, self-study room, computer lab, library and student common lounge.

The Classes

There are intensive course of 20 or 25 classes (50 minutes) per week (8:45 - 13:50 for the first course, 8:45 - 14:55 for the second). Minimum age is 16 outside the summer months, and 14 in July and August. All levels are taught. Maximum number of students per class is 12, except in summer when it is 16.

Accommodation

The school arranges Host family accommodation for the students, based on a single room with breakfast or half board. There are also single rooms available in residential accommodation or in apartments .
