Course Objectives
This course is designed for teachers who have little or no experience of teaching Business English. The content is intended to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to start teaching Business English, and also prepares them to take the LCCE FTBE exam if they so wish.

The IH BET course contains 30 modules divided into 3 strands: basic business awareness, professional skills and methodology and materials:

Mode of assessment
There is no assessed teaching in this course; assessment takes place through means of a post-course reflective assignment and the submission of a portfolio of seven tasks taken from the homework set in Strands 2 and 3 of the course.

It is suitable for teachers who have just completed the CELTA and for General English teachers who want to diversify into Business English
Dates
IH BET1: April 14th to May 24th 2008 (plus further time to complete the work)
Location
The course is run online and requires regular / daily access to the Internet with a good connection.
Tutors
The course is run by qualified online tutors who will guide trainees through the online sessions and assess the portfolio.
Time commitment
The course is a 50-hour course consisting of 30 hours of input over 10 modules and 20 hours of homework.
