IH Cádiz's Fabulous Student Residence

CLIC's La Oca Residence Hall is named after the small square it is located in in the centre of Cádiz. It is ideally situated in a quiet area, next to a small square with orange trees, two minutes from the Plaza de Mina and fifteen minutes from La Caleta beach.

The residence occupies a 19th-century building, with the traditional structure of the houses found in the historic centre of Cádiz. Even the façade exhibits the style of the buildings constructed by the bourgeoisie of Cádiz thanks to the highly lucrative trade with America.

The restoration of the house respects the style of the period but also adapts it to the needs of a 21st-century residence, functional and designed for the comfort of our guests.

In addition, the student residence in Cádiz has wonderful common areas such as an Andalusian courtyard and a large open-access terrace of more than 150 m2 to share a coffee with classmates, read or sunbathe. All rooms include air conditioning, heating, WiFi connection and access to a laundry area.

IH Montpellier Celebrates its 25th Anniversary!

Since its creation, IH Montpellier has aimed for excellence both in its teaching and linguistic services.

The race for accreditations began in 2004 when the school became a member of IALC. With a network of 400+ active agencies, IH Montpellier ILA has established partnerships in more than 60 countries. In 2014, IH Montpellier ILA demonstrated full compliance with all EAQUALS quality standards and since May 2023, the school has been a proud member of IH World.

The quality of relationships between IH Montpellier ILA and its partner agencies is regularly rewarded at the Study Travel Star Awards. The school has been nominated in the best French school category for more than 15 years. Annual inspections are a great way of keeping the whole team focused on quality and to guarantee students a wonderful experience during their language stay in Montpellier.

Teachers at the Forefront of Language Education - IH London's Future of Training Conference

IH London hosted their 5th annual Future of Training Conference last month, welcoming over 20 speakers and over 100 attendees both face-to-face and online. It was an insightful and inspiring day where speakers and delegates shared their thoughts on the future of English language teacher training.

The theme this year was: Challenge, Change and Chance.

The sessions explored the links between teaching and training/teacher education, to think about and reflect on how teacher's own practice and development influence the way they train or develop others. Presentations focused on teaching or teacher education which prompted attendees to consider their own practice as teachers, trainers and teacher educators.

IHWO and IH Schools at ICEF Berlin 2023

IH schools had a busy and successful few days at ICEF Berlin in November. It was great to meet many new agents and reconnect with familiar faces at the IH World booth. IH schools were sitting together in the buzzing IH village where they enjoyed non-stop meetings. As sponsors, IHWO’s Managing Director, Emma Hoyle, presented the Champion of Change award to Lucas Chiusoli at the Lead5050 awards ceremony.

The IHWO Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator, Hannah Youell, gave a presentation, “Don’t fit in, add value: why diversity is good for business, and what you can do to encourage it”. Hannah demonstrated the importance of striving for equity in international education and the need to put this at the forefront in schools.
